What is online counselling?
Online counselling is live and can be done by, text message, phone or face to face via video conference. Online Counselling is the same as face to face therapy, the only difference is that you get to have your consultation from the comfort of your own private space. All you need is a phone, tablet or computer, with a decent phone or internet connection and a quiet private space to begin.
How can I make an appointment.
To make an appointment simply fill in our online bookings & enquiries form and we will confirm it back to you.
Then we send you a Paypal invoice. You do not need to have a Paypal account. You simply pay using a credit card with 1 click. We request that payment be made within 48 hours after booking is made.
We are mindful that the information you provide to us as health professionals is personal and private.
You can be ensured that no personal information about you will be released to anyone outside Relationship Builders without your consent.
What you say to a counsellor is confidential and will not be passed on to anyone else without your consent except where: it is subpoenaed by a court; failure to disclose the information would place you or another person at serious and imminent risk; or if disclosure is otherwise required or authorised by law.
How do live phone sessions work?
Phone sessions are a great way to conveniently speak with your counsellor by simply using your landline or cell phone, no matter where you are.
To talk with your counselor over the phone, you will need to schedule a time with your counsellor and provide your preferred phone number to the counsellor. The counsellor will contact you at that number to start the phone session.
How do live video sessions work?
You can also have a video session with your counsellor where you see each other and talk with each other in a virtual face-to-face setting (using Skype).
To talk with your counsellor via video, you will need to schedule a time with your counsellor and log in to Skype at that time. Your counsellor will then prompt you to start the video session. After you confirm, you will immediately begin video chatting with your counsellor.
What happens if I can't make an appointment?
We have very simple rules in place for appointment cancellations. If you can't make an appointment your appointment fee is refunded based on how much notice you give us:
- By cancelling your appointment with more than 48 hours notice, you receive a full refund of the appointment fee.
- If your counsellor or psychologist cancels the appointment you are refunded 100% of your appointment fee.
- Cancelling with less than 48 hours notice but more than 24 hours notice, you receive 50% of your appointment fee refunded.
- Cancelling with less than 24 hours notice or fail to show up for your appointment you will be charged the full fee.
